Tâches et responsabilités

What’s the job?     

As a highly effective Sr HR Regional Business partner, you will work with our Sales, Customer Experience and Distribution functions with 30 locations in Canada, you will use your consultative and influencing skills develop and implement solutions that enable attracting and the development of our talent. This position will act as a business leader who support the building of an engaged workforce that meets current & future needs in response to our business trends using the Saint-Gobain core values, our powerful Purpose and customer centric approach to guide all actions/decisions.

Provides leadership and critical support for HR service delivery:

  • Point of escalation for employee relations, policy interpretation/resolution, escalated workplace investigations,         determine root cause to implement proactive solutions
  • Ensures region wide proficiency and execution of employee absence programs
  • Support the development of a new Leadership team in Kaycan, will be the HR partner for VP Sales &;; Distribution

Strategic Priorities and Business Support

  • Support leaders implementing change initiatives and responding to challenges
  • Share and apply industry trends to critical initiatives
  • Participate in Regular Business Branch Visits to support and coach leaders in order to enhance selling &  service behaviors
  • Partner with regional business leaders to identify and prioritize key organizational capabilities, behaviors and processes needed to achieve business results
  • Works with corporate Total rewards and compensation team to understand wage and benefit structures within the region to ensure – competitive analysis job banding, skill and comp progression structures in functions, on-going market wage analysis to be used proactively for employee retention.

Talent Management:

  • This position will partner with the leaders to create and/or execute regional talent management programs for example early career programs and lead the annual people review process end to end
  • Works across the groups to create and implement performance management systems and processes (one-on-one coaching, streamlined investigation templates and progressive behavior management programs) which reflect the culture, employee well-being and employee experience that make Saint- Gobain a great place to work.

People Engagement:

  • HR lead to partner with leader on engagement action planning this will be accomplished through facilitation of meetings, communicating the process, providing insights and dashboards on action plan progress.
  • Identify strategic community relations competency; with a focus on developing a pool of future talent
  • Role model for living our values everyday and fostering a high level of associate engagement
  • Collaborates with leadership teams, to develop and implement employee communications processes and systems which create a well informed and engaged workforce. (from local town hall meetings to pre-shift huddles, benefits enrollment, LiveWell, Safety and EHS days)

Talent Acquisition & Governance associated with recruitment

  • Forecast recruitment needs for distribution and sales, review existing spend to formulate plan how to attract, source talent.
  • Participate in the interview selection process for key roles.
  • Identify organizations to tap into diverse pools of talent.

Workforce Planning

  • Complete an annual workforce plan for sales and our branch network including talent, recruitment and cross training strategies and ensure the branch workforce reflects the diversity of the local community
  • Identify current/future staffing needs; partner with Talent Acquisition team closely to fill openings
  • Conducts workforce planning, organizational assessments and reviews succession planning with leadership to create robust development, cross functional opportunities to reduce voluntary turnover. Regularly monitors progress to ensure plans are executed.

Qualifications requises

What do you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ relevant experience or similar combination of education and experience required.
  • Broad knowledge and experience across the many HR disciplines
  • Retail or Hospitality experience an asset but not required
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and able to influence others
  • Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize and customer service driven
  • Ability to develop and communicate appropriate metrics, interpret trends, and adjust strategies as needed in response to changing market conditions.
  • Customer focused, adaptable, with superb follow up and organizational skills.
  • Innovative & Creative mindset for suggesting ideas that improve talent pool sources.
  • Results oriented & strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders (HR, Hiring Managers)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to partner well with others to effectively accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian employment law and policies as they apply to recruitment and selection.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
